I am viewing a car on friday and it is due a service. The seller said he car get it serviced or knock the price off the sale.  Does anyone know how much a service would be from dealers for 07 edition 30 38k miles?

Major service from dealer is £249. If the editoin 30 is a DSG then I believe you may need to get that serviced too which is on top of the £249. Give the dealers a call thats what I did before I bought my edition 30 last week.
