I have a 96 Golf Gti and it has recently developed a fault whereby the remote central locking has stopped working. I have noticed also that when I turn on the ignition, I hear a niose from under the dash, and all the clock needles move a little and the clock (default setting - time I think) resets itself.
Does anyone know where I would start trying to diagnose this issue?
thanks guys in advance

I've read about this on here before and its how I just solved the problem myself (clocks/trip meter resetting but not Cl because I don't have it)
Try replacing #21 fuse I think it is, sure it's a 15A as this is for clocks, interior lights, cig lighter and CL. That's where I would start
