Went to look at an 01 gt tdi and the car drove great, very genuine owner and good service history.
What put me off was that there was frothy crap in the coolant and it smelt a bit like turps/ white spirit. My initial thought was possible head gasket, but the car drove fantastically.
Anyone any other possible suggestions?
I'm finding it hard to get a decent tdi that hasn't been boy racered and this seemed to fit the bill aside from this worry. I did leave it but starting to think about maybe having another look.

I wouldnt risk it tbh
I spent 3 months looking for mine, Tdi 130 in black magic, 3 door, air con, 53 (2004) plate with 54k.
Things come to those that wait

Does not sound good, maybe get it tested by a local garage and see what it is etc.
