Title: mk4gti dash warning light on please help

just been out in the mk4, came out of a shop started the car and a dash warning light came on, looked it up and its the exhaust emmisions warning light,it stutters as you pull off and the temp gauge doesn`t work.
any clues? :sad:

took it to a local garage i know of which have vagcom and the number 4 cylinder was weak i.e a plug or leadand the temp gauge problem was the temp sender, so now sorted :wink:
