Title: Scam or not??
Post by: jonrandom on 17 May 2011, 14:10
Found this on pistonheads seems very cheap and to good to be true? Anyone bought any and have they been delivered? They seem to have them for lots of different makes cause Ive the cupra r front brake setup and they will do the 323mm discs for £34.99. What do people reckon?

Either that or cheap copies, there's alot of replica items running around of sub-standard quality like turbos and manifolds which are made from cheap chinese pig iron and are of poor fitment and they are less reliable than a paper roof. Wouldn't skimp on something that's going to be stopping you.

Yeah Ive heard of the cheap copies of the manifolds and turbos so why not brake discs aswell  I was just thinking they might have been nicked or something but for £35 im tempted to give them a go but like you say the last place you want to skimp on is your brakes!!

I spent alot on my brake kit and sometimes I've pushed a little too hard and but my brakes have always been there to catch me.

They are a scam.. i have 312mm brembo discs and they are over £200 new for the pair.. £35 for LCR ones would never happen.. part worn LCR discs on ebay go for more than that

I would only by if you could pick up and see quality

its like that scam years ago, a groupe of people got thousands of peoples bank accounts, but instead of emptying them they took like a few penies from everyones, it all added up and they were making thousands of thousands a month and because it was only pennies they were taking noone noticed that themoney was going missing and they managesd to get away with it for absolutly ages
