If I remove the rust will it still be a mk3?
Ba-dum tish
To be helpful, there are loads of people selling standard silencers/exhausts for the 1.4 on ebay. Could find one in a scrappy/breakers yard too.
-
You might have to go custom built as the 1.4 is not really a car many people modify for performance so off the shelf exhausts are goign to be standard ones or nothing I reckon.
That said you need to look at why the first box kept cracking, it shouldn't. I suspect that you may have had the exhaust hung wrong putting stress in the system where there shouldn't be any.

Online automotive sell standard full systems including cat if necessary. What condition was your front box in? Was it old and rusty and hence kept breaking? Or as said, had you fitted it incorrectly?
Why would you have a straight through on a 1.4 anyway? Silencers are so called for a reason Are you wearing trackie bottoms and a burberry cap.
-
If the exhaust keeps cracking it could be due to excess movement in the engine mounts.
