Title: mk4 golf key fob died, will it need resetting?

hey my auntie has a mk4 golf gti and the battery for her key fob has eventually died. if i replaced the battery will it work fine again or will it need the code resetting like other car brands can do?

If its just the battery gone flat you shouldn't need to re-sync.  I've had to change fob battery a couple of times now and its retained settings OK.

If you have to re-sync the fob its no big deal (unless its delocked  :lipsrsealed: !)
