Title: Best place to get a few items
Post by: jnufcuk on 16 May 2011, 12:39
Hi all just wanted to ask where is the best place to get a few items and how much should I be looking to pay?

Debadged front grill
Rear spoiler
Coilovers ( looked at fk ones too expensive, so need budget ones lol under 500)
007p valve (thinking awesome gti?)

Can't think of what they're called but the bar that goes across the top of the engine  :undecided:

Cheers sure I'll be adding a few more bits once I think of them

sorry meant kw coilovers were expensive not fk ones lol

just looking on ebay now and have seen jom and fk street ones.
Is there a big difference between these two and will there be a big difference in comfort if i decided to get springs? Ive seen the thread but want to know from an actual driver on how comfy they are?

If you want good coilovers for less then £500 then look at weitec coilovers.

i quite like the look of the jom and fk ones however what is the difference between the two? I dont drive the car that many miles maybe 6500-7000miles a year which is why i cant justify spending like 900 on kw ones

Thanks for the help guys. Would i be better buying the 007p valve new?

dont think a 007p can be dud tbh, at most you would have to replace the spring but highly unlikely.

£200 coilovers are stiffer that standard suspension obviously but no 'uncomfortable'.

I have the FK AK street ones (170 delivered) and personally want them a bit harder although i do give my car a fair thrashing now and again.

Cheap coilovers are literally CHEAP. Not competitively priced............ Ive got FKAK's and I had to replace a front strut within 6 months as it p!ssed oil outta it and bounced around the road. Springs and shocks FTW or £500+ for somethin half decent. When you think £50 a corner, thats gonna reflect the quality...........
