Title: Strut Brace

hi guys,

does anyone have a strut brace for their golf turbo?

is it just 1 bold per strut and does anybody have any pics of one fitted?

top front strutt brace? mines 3 bolts per side, you need to drill holes in , good luck!!

yes thats it lol i was hoping that hole drilling wasnt needed :( thats a strut brace off my list then :(

a good drill and bit and you'll be fine, to be honest tho i didnt notice any differance, im on coilies and them alone stiffens everything up, just an extra shinny bit in the bay  :laugh: :laugh:

thats cool then lol, the cars quite stiff already, i will just get a whiteline rear rollbar in that case :)

same thing i think mate, ive got a audi tt arb that goes under driveshafts

no, strut brace goes across bottom of subframe and keeps that tight, the front arb connects to droplinks that attach to wishbones a bit further out.

completely different

Yup totally different, lower strut braces can sometimes catch on things in the road  :lipsrsealed:

Best thing for a mk4 is suspension upgrade and a REAR arb (anti roll bar) front wheel drive cars love rear arbs  :nerd:

You can get away with it on the mk4, the car understeers alot from factory anyway so a rear arb will do wonders in getting it closer to balanced.
I've got front upper strut brace, front lower strut brace, standard front arb (1.6 one fitted), rear upper strut brace and rear eibach arb. I don't get any oversteer, still got plenty of grip only more tidy around the corners.
