Title: loosing those plastic arches!
Post by: Dizzie on 28 March 2005, 23:25
so I was going back to my parents house this weekend touching on the naughty side of *removed for incriminating sake* and I lost the rear o/s plastic arches. dammit! I'd been archless for months and then I finally got that one and now it's just parted company with the car. Anyway, I wasn't going to loose it so I doubled back at the next off ramp and returned to pick it up. a 8 mile round trip and I collected it from the centre resivation. Sorted.

Got home and mum says I've lost something from the front. it turns out I've also lost the front n/s arch! GRRRR!!!

So I manged to loose 2 arches in 1 day!

Well on the way back I spotted my missing front arch again in the centre resivation practically in the same place as the rear one. so pulled up on the side of the dual carriageway and picked it up. then the old bill pull up behind me as I'm about to rejoin the traffic. they ask the usual. why am I stopped there? Am I ok? I explained I'd lost 2 of my arches on saturday and I was just collecting them. they were fine with that and helped me rejoin the traffic safely

Nice one gwent heddlu

Just going 'fast' Blue

They were rivoted on at the very bottom, but you have to glue them on on the top as I have my arches rolled.

it was still in 1 peice yeah. someone had driven over it as it's cracked and scuffed, but it'll look better than nothing at all.

Mine were stuck on with tiger grip and have stayed on now for 3 years, think you need some of that.
I buy mine from a auto paint shop suppliers (people seem to have trouble getting hold of it)
