Sorry if this has been covered but do any set oif 4pot calipers fit the 288 setup. I hear that volvo have some that do. But can anyone clarify.
Cheers liam

In my time of ownership I haven't heard that. I would also like to know if you can. looking to run a set up like this to bring my front wheels in a bit more

Apparently someone was selling a project mk2 with 288 brakes and volvo 4pots. Yet the 4pots wernt fitted.
Volvo 240 4pots fit on 280s but 288s am not sure.
-
Would you gain much by fitting them. :undecided:

Surely 4pots fitted on 288s would be abit more responsive than single pistoned calipers.
I've never had anything but singles so i havnt experianced the differance

:undecided: I have the 312mm set up on the RS and they are awesome, they only use single piston calipers so if anything I would say bigger discs is the better option.

Well its on the mk2 so its bigger breaks being 288s. It seems not worth upgrading to 4pots then.
I'll have to do it one day just to say av got 4pot calipers

be careful early 240's had solid discs........
This is a ford mod for Mk1/2 Escorts using Capri/Granny discs, check in a Lucas/girling catalogue for dimensions on VW and Volvo before you wade in
