....is the 1.8 20VT more expensive to run on a daily basis than the 1.8 20V N/A?! What about remapping, what effect does this have? What MPG are you guys getting?
-
well on the books they both give 35mpg.. but i would say the 1.8t will drink more around town journeys... but on long dual cariageway and motorway journeys there actually more or less the same mate.. saying that if the 1.8t is driven at cruising speed.. obviously if you boot it the 1.8t would drink more..
around town i see high 20's and long dual cariageway or motorway journeys i get high 30's..i managed get a reading of 42mpg once

i reguarly get 40+ if driving slower than my nan.
Giving it some 17-25, mixed obviously somewhere in the middle..
-
on v power im getting 40+ cruising, normal unleaded 30+, around town around the 15 to 20 mark, im remapped stage 1
-
I'm getting an average of 30-35 everyday to work
-
I am finding mine really good on fuel tbh.

i havnt driven mine in 2 weeks :embarassed: but before that i put in £30 and get 100 ish miles... and i have a heavy foot..

I have the 1.8t
I know the onboard computer only gives a rough estimate, but if i cruise on the motorway at 55mph in 5th i easily get 40 - 49mpg (on the display, not sure in the real world though)
And if i leave it in 5th at 30mph cruising gently it pulls fine and produces on the display anything up to 50 - 60mpg.
I find it great consumption if i dont hammer it, but at high speeds and heavy acceleration im getting between 7mpg -25
Hope this helps
