Title: RNS510: No Audio Files
Post by: matski on 14 May 2011, 14:00
I got my iPhone replaced under warranty yesterday, everything was working fine before, I restored it from the back up on my laptop, and then went to plug it into the MDI, which told me there were 'No audio files' and my iphone keeps telling me this accessory is not made to work with it... Tried loads of different things but really struggling, and getting pretty annoyed. Can play music through bluetooth fine but want to play it through MDI. Just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas before i go down to VW?

Thanks in advance

Check the firmware version, sometimes going BACK to an older firmware setting works.

Go into the Ipod (apple) site and they have every single upgrade download on there, select the one you want and download it to the Ipod. From memory I think you have to set the Itunes to manual override in the menu as they try and upload the most recent firmware.

Source sounds did it for me when I needed to retro-load an older firmware.
