Title: Help please- 8v gti downpipe

If some one has got an 8v gti downpipe handy could they please tell me what diameter of the outer bore is please, I did have a 16v one but replaced it with a 8v gti one, but the 8v one is a bit too small so need my stainless exhaust changed for it to fit! I have tried putting compound on it but think it's letting air in according to my wideband.

Would it not be easier to fit the correct downpipe.

Easier no lol cheaper yer probably, can you get a 16v downpipe without the silencer attached to it?

Oh and most obviously is that I have a bung already welded in on the downpipe, was just going to email an exhaust place and say could you make me a connector about 300mm long in this size, then chop my old end off and put the new one on, rather than swapping downpipes getting a new bung welded in etc. Or is there another downpipe with a lamda bung in I can use>

Are the 16v downpipe and mk3 gti downpipe end bores the same?
