Title: mk5 GT TDI 140?
Post by: _Adam_ on 13 May 2011, 13:29
How much to remap standard tuning with no mods?
is it worth seeking an induction kit / performance panel filter first, and what gains can i expect?

also have a friend with a citroen c2 code (125bhp 1.6 vts engne) who is looking to remap after a few mods ----> group discount?

Cheers

Hi Adam,

You're looking at around 175HP from your pd140 (assuming it's not a late DPF model?)

C2 Code - 1.6 VTS not a problem either - peak power gains won't be massive (around 8-10HP) but it should gain more in the low/mid rev range and improve throttle response and driveability.

Compared to any other mods he is thinking of doing it will certainly be the best value ‘bang for buck’ - certainly a worthwhile mod and no risk since we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee ;-)

As regards group discount.......

What I can do is extend our introductory forum member discount to your friend as well:

Golf 2.0 TDi 140PS - £275 (less introductory forum member discount  of £100)

Citroen C2 Code 1.6 16V 125PS - £275 (less introductory forum member discount  of £100)

The only thing you would both need to do is make a donation to the forum of £10 each ;-)

Any further questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Kind Regards,

Nick - Carbon
