Post by: stainesy on 12 May 2011, 19:10
was looking on ebay at old alloly wheels as one of the things i do is buy curbed and scratched wheels repaint them and sell them again and came accross some old rangerover wheels.
looking at them and with a set of low profile tyres they would look wicked on a golf i recon. has it been done?

Original RR had a pcd of 5x165, from then onwards it is 5x120. Pretty sure the eBay says it's an original one

Offset isn't actually too bad, apparently et30-et40. If you get them welded/re-drilled you could get them on

They would look horrid.

Have seen a Seat Leon on Land Rovers alloys with adaptors that looked ok.

I suppose anything is worth trying if it's cheap enough but i think you would get a few confused looks.
