Anyone got any ideas what it could be water is topped up?
-
Have you tryed unplugging the sensor at the expansion bottle..
-
umm nope? :embarassed:
-
Try unplugging the sensor and see if it still flashes!
Maybe a knackered sensor, be careful though as it may be on for a reason ;)
-
it came up when i reattached battery cable
-
Ok. did you take off the sensor and not the battery cable.?
Check your earth straps give them a good clean.
If its not overheating i would say the only thing it could be is a faulty dash..
-
thing is, it was working before the battery got dc then the when i reattached it, then it started flashing  but i didnt touch nothing to do wid the sensor
-
Maybe you dislodged a wire or something.
-
thing is all i touched was the inlet manifold cable thats all
-
Take the plug off the sensor, and check its making contact with the two metal contacts. They can get bent out of shape quite easily. Bit of screw driver action might sort it
-
triedd all above right now
-
you fixed it then?
-
NO LUCK AT ALL :undecided:
-
Changed the bottle?
-
Have you tried doing a coolant flush?
That solved it for me when i had the same issue.
-
fixed it the there 2 sensors one came out so i pushed it back in it works fine :)
