Title: Fuel leak
Post by: fin170703 on 28 March 2005, 08:37
hi guys , stopped my car yesterday and when i got out i could smell a strong petrol smell coming from the engine bay. when i

popped the bonnet i could see that i had damp/wet injectors. Any ideas anyone, could my injectors be leaking, is this a common

problem and what sort of job is it to replace the injectors, thx

i'm not 100% sure on this but its more likely to be the injector seals which are like little rubber o-rings which may have deteriorated. the injectors just pop out so might be worth taking them out and having a look.

I second that, check the injector seals. And do it before you have a fire!
