Title: Sell my G60 280mm front brake setup?
Post by: Dizzie on 27 March 2005, 23:01
Seeing as these aren't actually for sale I thought I'd see if many people were interested in them before I take the plunge and decide to sell them.

They were originally off a Corrado, but I think these are the same as the golf ones. I've run them on my 20v mk2 and they are Very Very good. A lot better than the original brakes that's for sure.

The discs and pads are mintex ones. I had the discs drilled purely for the cosmetics more than the actual benefit of the additional cooling. The calipers have been painted red, but I'm sure that could be stripped off if you wanted them a different colour.

From what I understand these will fit straight onto 16v hubs and the carriers supplied with the setup will space the calipers out enough to clear the larger discs. The discs and pads have about 3000 miles on them with no track days and mainly city driving on them. The sale would be: 280mm discs, pads, calipers, carriers and hoses.

Open to offers?

some 270mm discs wont fit under 15s.

Had this problem when buying my kit. All depends on the offset of the wheels....

I've only ever run them under my 17's so plenty of room there.
