Got a Pipercross panel filter for £20 so i thought id bung it in and see what happened as some people say they are no different to a standard paper one. Well i have to disagree! along with an enlarged air feed on a smoothed airbox it pulls harder low down and top end acceleration "feels" quicker. Downside is that since fitting it (and not raging it) my mpg seems to have dropped alot!
What could cause this? Could i have bought a dry filter that someone has oiled, causing the maf to act up? Its not running lumpy or anything. Its gone from motorway av of 60mpg down to 48-50mpg.... im stumped.

After fitting my decat pipe i put the pipercross back in to see what happened and my mpg (due to the decat pipe) is better than before! Cant recommend a milltek decat enough, more power and higher mpg
Loving the owl sound
