I am currently in the process of putting a new bottom end in me 8v,
Whilst the lump is out i am going to get the engine bay sprayed and replace the front two arches,
What are your guys opinions on no side repeaters for the new panels?
I like the current look i have but thinking it might be a slick, subtle change?
I'll post some current pics and let me know what you think?
Cheers

In that case, ditch the Audi door handles, and back to OE, lose the aerial grommet, and set all gaps to perfection, and shim the bumpers to lift, and close the gaps on the sides, and dump the aero's and replace with stainless arms with OE blades, and do the mirror covers very dark grey, but very glossy, so they don't stand out like Prince Charles's ears...
Less is more

Early mk2's didn't have them and aren't required for an MOT if the car was registered before April 1986.

Well it is not clear what year this car is, the fact it has them suggests it left the factory with them so they should be fitted.

Yeah the blurred out number plate doesn't help matters here.
-
It's a 90' plate, guess that's a no then? Even if they're on from the factory, are they likely to check if the wing is blanked anyway? As long as the front are working?

They are needed and I believe it would fail if not fitted.

Thanks for the heads up Wayne, muchly appreciated!

The tailpipes look a touch long, is this due to the fact this is a late mk2 that originally had big bumpers fitted and you've now retro fitted early small bumpers which are obviously smaller in depth?

I would guess so, looks kinda wrong on the h plate in a way.

I also fitted small chrome trimmed bumpers on my last mk2 which coincidentally was also a 'H' plate and found myself chopping a section out of the exhaust and modifying the hangers so that it all pushed forward and lost the extra tailpipe overhang which bugged me like sh!t.
