Title: proposed plans for golf 1.8 20v turbo
Post by: andy20vturbo on 10 May 2011, 16:04
hi guys currently in process of doing a deal on a x reg golf gti 20v turbo in black with 18" audi alloys for a decent price of £1200

one thing i know needs doing soon is the cambelt/water pump so they will be among the first jobs along with a full service. The first job will be a full days worth of valeting it as the paintwork is crying out for a good clay/polish/wax etc.
Then we can start looking at the exiting stuff performance mods  and we have a good base as its got the k03s turbo on there. Going to get the forge 007p, silicone tip and cotton green panel filter these should be a few essential first steps i think. Over the summer it will be having a 3" de cat downpipe, full longlife exhaust system (mild sport being used as a daily so dont wont it to boomy for the mrs) this will then be remapped by am motorsport in stoke or more bhp in crewe to hopefully release the full potential of the above

any comments/advice welcome

will add pics once the car is in our posession

I would avoid a decat as you will need it for the mot, sports cat is better.

If I'm right the dude who owns Auto Medics lives in my street lol, although I aint ever used 'em but a friend of mine with an Ibiza Turbo has said they are quite good. I will have to investigate, it's hard to find good local mechanics who know what they're doing with dubs.
