Over the years I've been with:
Sureterm
RH Specialist car division
Lancaster
Aon
Hagerty

A few are being a bit more restrictive these days, but so long you meet the basic requirements you should find something cheap enough:
Usually you have to be over 25
Some require the car to be garaged over night
Usually have to be insure with regular insurance on another vehicle (your daily)

I really like Hagerty but the premium shot up last year, though I'm still going to give them a try next time.

thanks Nige

just tried Footman James who are recommended by the VWMK1 OC and they came in at £280 with £100 excess and 4.5k miles on a classic policy

MUCH better than Adrian Flux who came in at a whopping £631

Chuffs right.. I am rapidly catching up with you!

Have given them a call and they can only quote for a 3000 mile policy but it was for £153, subject to approval from the underwriters. They didn't take all the car details though which I thought was a tad strange?
