I just bought this off Ebay for £40.00

Hardly used, belonged to the girls Grandmother, still has the original bill of sale with it, and is immaculate!!

It's a pretty old camera by the looks of it.

IIRC my Finepix S5700 went for only about £20 more and that was a cracking little camera.

I wouldn't have bothered. The drop from 14mp to 3mp will be very noticable, and on the Fuji you can only get the 1600 iso setting when you switch to 1mp mode. So although the lens is probably a bit better than the Samsung, you'll not be able to capture as much detail due to the lower spec sensor.
