Had a meal in Glasgow last night, only left the car in a NCP type car park for a couple of hours, then came back to find some scrote had knicked the centre caps from the Vancouvers  No other damage on car thankfully apart from handprints on window where they have been peering in.
I did notice on the way in another 3dr Mk6 black with Vancouvers which was not there when I left
Off to stealers tomorrow for replacements and lockers, then onto audio shop to see about an alarm me'thinks, especially with the new kenwood so much on show.
Every time I go into weegieland something happens.
-
What carpark was it in Glasgow? I hate leaving my car up there at night, too many drunk, jealous ness about!
-
I was meeting folks at Antipasti in Sauchiehall Street which was closed off at the motorway end for no apparent reason, so put the car into the Charing Cross car park.
Also bumped into the chap Malcolm Webster who is up for allegedly doing his two wives in at the moment, in the same car park
-
Finger prints off the glass maybe? get the coppers involved?
-
Sorry to hear this. Thank heavens you got off lightly.
It is such a mean and cheap thing to do but still so annoying and upsetting.

Glasgow Police ?!? No thanks, I'll just take relief in the fact that the replacements will only cost a tenner.

It was the wifes car and she was wanting blood. It is annoying but woken me up to the fact that it does not have an alarm and the interior is so much on display. Also going to look at getting some tints fitted.
-
I hope they didn't damage the wheels taking them off. They really need to be pushed out from behind.
It does make you question the mentality of someone who would steal a £10 set of center caps. It's a wonder they didn't get your dust caps whilst they were at it.
-
You know, I never checked if they took them or not...maybe a bunch of beastie bhoys aged 10 3/4's running about weegieland

£10 for a set? I'm sure I paid £6.50 for 1 from my dealer!! I was conned!!
I've also got 2 missing but I'm sure mine came away with the pressure washer

I thought the locking wheel nuts (if that's what you mean) and alarm come as standard?
-
Wifes car is an 's' model tdi, no alarm as standard and the vancouvers came from eBay.
-
Ah that explains it. I live in Glasgow and never park in any of the multi story car parks. Its just not worth it. Not so much for things stolen but more for other drivers hitting the car or banging their doors off it.
Some folk have no respect.

Feckless twits need hanging - I don't like thieves

What cheeses me off is this with the Disco3's I've had over the last 6 years I could dump it anywhere and it would be left alone. My last one had quite a few add ons that caught the eye and never thought twice about leaving it parked up, but now concerned about leaving the golf when out. Last time I was like that was back in my Evo and Scooby days and used to hate it.
btw....p3asa, you were right, £6 per cap  and £46 for locking wheel nuts  although cheaper than replacing the Vancouvers.
-
jkp - it sucks when this happens - hate the fact that you can't have nice things that you've worked hard ofr wihtout some worthless scrote coming along and thinking "I'm having that" with no morals or thoughts of the impact. :(
^^^That £70 will be the best you've spent in terms of peace of mind and looks for the car - 99.9999% chance that you'll never experience anything like this again though which is a small comfort for you and Mrs jkp
-
Never a good advert for Glasgow when you hear stories like this. It happens all the time, i hate leaving the motor in town.
I'm glad it's a faily easy repair tho.
-
All fixed (fitted) now and car's booked in to get cobra canbus alarm fitted next tuesday.
Does not feel good knowing that the GTD when it comes will probably get the same attention in the wrong areas of Scotland. I hate having to watch where you park but suppose just need to get on with it.

Imagine how lawless Scotland will become with full independence.
Time for you to move to Southern England for temporary safety whilst we prepare our invasion of Scotland to quell those ruffians.
Glad it is sorted for now, but our offer of help still stands.

och' mon we'll be fine under President Salmonds guidance  Although maybe in 30 yrs time there may be the Gaddafi effect and the UN may be called in.
Suggesting a born and bred Scot should leave Jockland of his own free will to live south of Gretna  I suddenly feel unwell at the thought

Mines dumped on my path next to my GTD - Love the thing

Oooooooh, noooooooo. Not the Gaddafi effect. You'll have to have a facelift, get a Bulgarian nurse, have a couple of wives producing mad drug-fcuked sons, live in a compound with human shields and have a deep and meaningful relationship with NATO.
I'll provide you and your good wife with good ol' Southern hospitality in every sense of the word.

That's 75% of Glasgow qualified then

That's why I love Glasgow.

I stay at Langs Hotel and I am well served and serviced!!!!
The bedtime hot chocolate is superb!
-
I am a born and bred Glaswegian living South of the border, it does not make me feel unwell at all.
The countryside around the North Yorkshire Moors is absolutely beautiful which Glasgow certainly is not ANYMORE.
