I have been unable to amend my order to include the storage pack to my new GTD. Yesterday morning the dealer offered free of charge, to retrofit if its possible and the parts are obtainable. (When it arrives!)
I have read a couple of posts and its seems awkward to do but possible.
1) Has anyone retrofitted this pack that can offer any guidance / advice?
2) Has anyone a GTD with black titan leather with the storage pack that could give me their chassis number to obtain the right colour / part number?
-
What does it include (I'm too lazy to look it up).
The parts will be available okay, whatever they are.
If it's just underseat drawers and something in the boot it shouldn't be any problem for someone with four limbs and a working brain to fit.
-
ETKA does list the storage pack as an accessory.
The priclist brochure says.
Storage pack.
Driver’s and front passenger’s under seat drawer with luggage nets under rear parcel shelf and on boot floor - £70.
-
Sounds like a nice job for the dealership work experience lad then......
-
Its easy to retrofit seen it done before.
-
I wouldn't mind the drawes in mine. Had them on a couple of previous cars and they were useful. Luggage net not much use to me though, my boot is either nearly empty or crammed full to the brim.
-
Yep storage pack as described, a couple of nets in the boot and 2 underseat drawers. I read somewhere that the net under the parcel shelf is part of the shelf itself and therefore the shelf has to be completely replaced.
Its the two underseat drawers that I would like fitted. I havent seen these listed as an accessory.

I was in two minds regarding the under seat drawers when I was ordering my car. In retrospect I am so glad I did not order these as the under seat space has been much more usefully used by a sub-woofer and power amplifier.

You could've had the amp and sub put in the drawers Asker, then you could slide them out and admire them whilst sat at traffic lights!

That Andy, is one of the worst humorous suggestions you have ever made.

And now it has come crashing down and probably chipped those new wheels. When are you going to attach the little darlings?
-
A fine question.
And one which I have no answer to.

Amanda, mah deah, our great mistress, I am glad we pleased you on this dark day.
Delightful Andy and lovely moi do try to inject some humour, though at times it goes straight overhead and into the ether, unfortunately.

In fact it gets worse.
I've just been out to the garage to check on the anthacite beauties.
But before I'd got that far into the carvern I'd caught sight of 19'' of BBS lovliness glinting at me.
Before I could do anything about it my trousers dropped below my knees......and......and.....nature took it's own beautiful course......

How absolutely charming.
...... and they became Snowflakes with the correct offset ........
We better stop as certain mods are going to have a fit.

If you hold your mouse over the car and select Pricelist you can download the brochure, then just search for storage until you get near the bottom. You can download any brochure you want?

Update: its Pricelist not Accessories
-
Thanks. Am I missing this, the storage pack ie underseat storage drawers are not shown in the accessories brochure?
-
Sorry my mistake its not the Accessories brochure as that doesn't list them its the Pricelist golf-gti-vi-pricelist.pdf that gives a description and a price but no picture.
If you Google vw golf under seat storage there are loads of sites or on Pictures to see them.
There is an A4 showing the parts http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/audi-s4-a4-a4-cab-b7-chassis/56342-underseat-storage-retrofit.html
-
Ok yes thanks Ive done that ie lifted off google etc. Useful indeed.
I thought if I got hold of a chassis no. of a Golf, with the same interior as I have ordered, with drawers fitted that it would be straight forward for the dealer to pick up the correct part nos. and no excuse. They initially told me they had difficultly with the part nos as they are not an accessory to order.
-
I got the part number of one of those American sites selling them
http://oemplus.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=279
Under seat storage - 1K0882602

http://www.tuningflavour.com/home.php?go=product&cat=Interiorbrand=1&model=24&product=7803
But ETKA doesn't find it.

Thanks, Ive used that detail and past to dealer I will see how the they get on.

Hi There, I retrofitted the underseat passenger and under seat drivers drawers into my MK5 GTI, and then just before I got rid of the car, took it all out and have now installed it in my MK6 GTI that without any modification. I have a list somewhere of all the part numbers I ordered directly from Volkswagen, although they may be different based on whether you have a left or right hand drive.
I'll look for the part numbers but it was sooooo long ago now.
-
Brill thanks. Any difficulties with whats under the seats as some other posts mention the bluetooth and dynaudio under the seats. I have both these extras ordered.

Yes; I think you'll find that if you have the Dynaudio you won't be able to fit the drawer under the passenger seat. Check the VW brochure (the prices one) for an asterix and footnote to confirm before ordering two drawers.
PS - my dealer had to retrofit mine, including new parcel shelf, as they 'forgot' to tick the option in the ordering system. All came through in the end though and fitted in a day - but I was super careful to inspect for scratches (on paint and plastics) etc afterwards as the seats need to come out to do it.
