Title: Battery on charge.. FUBAR?

just come home to find my battery which I have had on a trickle charger giving off an acidic smell, making a quiet bubbling noise and humming slightly... its now off charge and sitting on its lonesome outside.

I am guessing it is fcuked?  :undecided:

If you have some old neighbours you want to get rid of, stick it back on charge for a bit. :smiley:

pretty much thought that from the moment i heard it fizzing!!  :laugh:

so... suggestions for picking up a new battery for an 8v mk3 over the weekend then people?
