So, that's a set of mk6 fitment 8x18s in grey coupled with

These black ones in 7x16 4x100 fitment clogging up my shed.
I really do need psychiatric help
-
How big is your letterbox
Very nice mate
Darren

I had it specially extended Daz, I needed it enlarged owing to the constant stream of alloy wheels pouring though it!
Only trouble now is I keep coming home to find East European refugees and farm animals sat in my front room watching TV....so maybe it's a bit too big
-
Very nice mate, are SteveP's ones he sold recently?
Love those wheels big time, hope to get some soon but have a REVO Stage one to buy at GTI International, I also saw some pipes that I just love - Akropvic, not sure if they are big in the acr world but you bikers out there will no doubt know a lot about them.
Jim

Glad they arrived OK Andy
And look what dropped through my letter box ready for the sticky tyres to be fitted tomorrow for the new project car

They look mega cool
Love them!

Andy, a one inch circumcision adjustment at long last! I am sure your good lady will prefer the ride.
You must be as loose as a goose with such an overworked and enormous slot. Is the slvt-slot a two way affair?

Very nice. So will these be fitted with VW centre caps?

They certainly are StevePs as you'll have gathered by now. I'm really pleased with them, but I've no idea when they'll actually end up on the car!
Funny you should mention Akropovic exhausts and bikers. I know one of the guys quite well on StevePs forum and we were talking sometime last year about Ohlins suspension and Akrapovic exhausts as he's an ex-biker. I was familiar with the names and the fact they were top drawer with reflective prices but wasn't familiar with the bike products.
Needless to say both of us were a bit gobsmacked when we saw the cost of the products for the Golf, if he'd have fitted both to his ED30 he'd have probably paid a third of the cost of the car in the first place! Quality gear though.

Really pleased with them Steve. The metallic paint looks great in the sunshine, it really doesn't show up well in photos.
Liking the new black TDs too! You managed to get a set in the end, did you buy brand new ones or did you manage to source used ones? They'll certainly give your new weapon an authentic BTCC look (or VW Cup for that matter)! It's not the VWR GTI is it?Andy, a one inch circumcision adjustment at long last! All I can say Asker is that you'd be proud of the rim protection on the PS3s

Quote from Randy Andy: All I can say Asker is that you'd be proud of the rim protection on the PS3s
I have measured Mr.P's rubber rims some moons ago and found the s!tty Bridgestones to trump the marvellous Michelins by over a 1.5mm. You can find rim protection numbers in the Russkie tyre review in my Summer Tyre Sticky.
I have so far measured with pleasure many rubber rims with surprising results. However, after much indulgence into this weird and wonderful world, may I humbly request you adopt and wear this mantle as I feel that this quirk is not healthy for a man of my age, social position and limp-limb state.
-
My scientific measurement consisted of the following precisely calculated and approved method:
Unwrap wheels, marvel at the metal flake glinting in the sunlight, make a mental note of the fact my Conti 235s seem to offer less protection than the Michy 225s, then wheel the things into the gloom of my car's hidey hole, stack them up on top of the ickle 16'' ones until I get them out again to marvel at the metal flakes glinting in the sunlight once the bloody rain stops.
I'd like to keep them in the house as furniture/works of art but despite my protestations to my domestic manager that the meaty rubber protection rims will prevent the light alloy rims marking our finely crafted Wickes Economy Range solid wooden floors (put in at great expense by a true craftsman who was carefully chosen for his credentials - some bloke who my Missus heard about down the school who does cash in hand jobs), she alas decreed the ''the bloody things can stay in the bloody garage with all your other crap''. Hey ho.
-
How remiss of me, I forgot to congratulate Mr. P on his new shiny black numbers.
It was the rim protection talk and Andy's oversized slvt-slots that sent me in a wild spin.
I wonder what he will attach them to. I am sure it will be a big, big surprise as usual.
-
Thanks Asker, they look even better now they they have the track day tyres fitted and have been clayed, polished and rim wax'ed

Those wheels look very much like the ones on a Porsche Cayman R.

He is yet to reveal what slag he's buying
-
The Cayman R ones have 10 spokes, his have 12. So not quite the same. My mistake.
Saintly Steve: I think the SLAG (your words!) will be a VW model 36-22-36 with a Brazillian centre motif and wearing those shiny black Jackboots and nothing else on!

I get the feeling, he's getting another Ed30 to Highly Modify this time.
We will soon know when his project is complete to Unveil and not before.

I don't think I'll get an invitation to the nuptials as I might be dead by then. May they live happily together in the fast lane.
He could at least tell us the colour.
Silver?
