Title: Flat spot

My Mark4 GTTDI has just developed  a flat spot and doesn't like  to rev past 3-4000 under load .
the engine is in very good nick and has a clean air and diesel filter .
any ideas thanks steve

Have you had it scanned for fault codes.

No how would i go about it . There is no engine management light on
