Title: MFA Not working....any idea's?

Hi, the MFA of my recently purchased 1996 GTI 8v doesn't work, press the button and nothing at all happens on the display it just continues to display the time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try substituting the stalk with another one in the first instance.  Have you tried it in both positions ie 1 and 2??  I still say the stalk, its the easiest bit to change.

Yes I've tried it in both positions, haven't had chance to have a look at it yet, thanks for the reply.
