ive got a mk2 golf gti 16v
the other night it cut out on me (theres fuel in it) when trying to start it again could not hear the fuel pump kick in. on testing it works fine so dose the relat and fuse.there is also no spark to the engine so was told it might be the ignition switch bought a new one still no luck !! there is no imobliser on the car so not that.there is power to the switch to ! im lost any help would be great thanks for reading

Mine does it sometimes. On your dash does the full beam blue light come on?. I just push my relay back in as it seems to come loose

all relays are in tight. im lost with ideas now just wont start !!! :cry:

am thinkin coil if you got no spark

new coil ignition amp new leads new dizzy. still dont know why the fuel pump is not kicking in

And you've checked the fuse? Is the wiring plugged into the pump still?

yes to both lol im lost pump works from the fuse box bridged a wire across and heard it kick in

Is it pre or post 90 spec. Ive got a spair fusebox if u wanna try that. Could be summats in the fusebox

hello thanks for all the advice turns out to be a broken wire near the dizzy now sorted and working. thanks again :smiley:
