Hello Chaps and Chapets
I was previously, about a year back a mk2 GTI badboy, went onto a Toyota MR2 that i totalled with a lamp post now back to the VW roots with a Mk4 1.8T (150 bhp)...
I bought it yesterday - for £6999 with £48k and a winter pack is this an ok price?
Its not got traction control - should it?
And no CD player, do you think i should keep it standard and stick a VAG single CD or stick after market CD player.
Other than that drives a treat, had loads done plus a water pump!
Well chuffed -
p.s. I will be hanging around - gonna save now for the mk5 (2 year plan)
cheers

Hi! Car's lookin' good (finally got the pic sorted I see!).
£7K sounds a pretty reasonable price. Not sure about traction control - what year is it? You can get single VAG Gamma CD units for under a hundred quid off ebay - that's what I did!
See you around.

Richy its the same year as yours 99 mines on a T reg, only asking about traction control as there is no ASR or ESP button?
And can't believe VW are so tight they didn't have single CD's as standard

They started putting CD players, and traction control as standard on later models, tight buggers.

Probably be best putting the Gamma in dash 6 CD changer in as it goes in the same space. Got a price of 380 inc vat and fitting at VW main dealer so you can probably do it a lot cheaper yourself.
Thought all turbos had traction though, not that it makes much difference, you just get a flashing light on the dash to go with the wheelspin!!

My 99 (t) 1.8t doesn't have traction but i wish it did!!
That's nice low mileage for 7k
