Title: 1.6 exhaust size 42mm bore?

I found that the 16v should be 55mm but can find the size of my 1.6 does anybody know?
After measuring it I think its 42mm can anybody confirm this?

Yes it will fit with a reducer  :smiley:

Thanks as long as i know it can be done ill sort out the details another time got an exam tomorrow so should probably be revising  :tongue:

Ha ha I keep thinking I’ve got a reply only to find its more laughs at my expense  :wink:
Anyway I found that the 16v should be 2.25" but can find the size of my 1.6 does anybody know?
If not anyway I could measure it with it still on the car?

When you find out what bore it is(43mm o/d i do believe) then use these guys

When you find out what bore it is(43mm o/d i do believe) then use these guys

Thanks I was looking at the clamp ones they do I just can’t find for sure what size the 1.6 is, 43mm sounds about right though since I measured 42 but wasn’t that accurate.

They are the same bore as the 1.8 if im not mistaken and i recently had the vernier gauge on one and it was 43mm o/d :smiley:

Thanks that confirms it then that's a great help everyone I can go ahead and sort the reducer out now  :drool:
