Title: h4 bulbs for mk2
Post by: mk2bal on 02 May 2011, 19:30
what bulbs are the best for mk2's? been looking at philips h4 extremes and vision plus.. can see the extremes are more expensive, so im guessing brighter. i wouldnt mind something bright and white, but not too keen on a blue or yellow look. what can you lot vouch for?? also just to add, ive already got an uprated loom kit.

Osram Nightbreakers and Ring Max 100% are 2 I have used with an uprated loom on my mk2.  Recommend either of them.

all it does is put spots on a designated supply rather than shared

Yes they do - a cost effective upgrade.  More info here: http://www.matey-matey.com/uprated_headlight_wiring.shtml

Mine doesn't have anything to do with spots (as I don't have spots). It gives the headlights a dedicated supply from the battery so they can draw the current they require. The old feed becomes the trigger wires for the relay

i made my own - left headlights alone and wired spots through deignated supply though relay

Surely dip needs improving as much as main beam?

Yeah sorry mines made for dipped and full beam... V noticeable after 3years of pants lights. Smoked lenses can't be helping me too..
