Title: Fully Synthetic 0r Semi?

1998 2.0 8v G0lf GTI. 

She has 115,000 miles, FSH.  What 0il sh0uld I use?  5-40 fully synthetic 0r 10-40 semi/synth?

I always used 10/40 semi  in my 8v golf on similar miles. Will be fine.

Although i do use 5-30 fully synthetic in the Honda.

Reas0n I ask mate is t0 find 0ut if 5-40 fully synth w0uld be 0k as I have 5 litres here........0r w0uld it be t00 thin thus the 10/40 being m0re suitable?

Why are you using a number 0 for your o's very annoying lol

10w40 would be my choice if I was buying but 5w40 is fine (if I had some going spare)


(I run my ssat on 5w40 as the turbo screams for fully!)
