This might be a good question or I may look stupid.....
Ive been off for a week now and had every intention on giving my car a full detail....... polish, seal and wax etc etc but its always really sunny and Ive always thought its not good to do it in the sun but then I see demo videos for certain american products and there being applied in the direct sun so????????????? :undecided:

It's best not to detail in direct sunlight if you can.
It causes water and products to dry faster making your work a hell of a lot tricksier. It's best to do it indoors oooor early morning/late afternoon early eve when the temp's dropped and the sun's in.
Some products also react to extremes of temp and can be a b!tch to both apply and to take off.

Yer I never used to clean my car in direct sunlight, used to always get droplets where it dried off with in minutes.

Some products don't have issues with working in direct sunlight. It's heat that's more of an issue. I have managed to detail my car in the hot sun without any problems.
Personally, I now get up at 5am to detail the car so I'm done by 9-10am.
