Next up 20mm spacers for the rear and coilovers which will be fitted next weekend.
Future plans are either supercharged something or 1.8t conversion

Very clean with subtle mods
-
I really like it.
-
Mate, that looks awesome! Are they 17's? Can it go a tad lower as personally think it needs a slightly lower drop to finish it.

looks good mate! spacers are just right too! i wasnt sure which thickness to go for but after seeing yours my mind is made up!
-
Definite improvement.
-
I think it looked spot on with the 40mm drop, you may find the wheels catch a lot more now as well.
-
I will add that i was referring to the wheel spacers, I think the wheel sit quite nicely inside the arches now.

Cheers bud the wheels are 7.5 with et37 if that helps any.
Already had to do a bit of modding on the rear arches or the spacers all good though.
-
Niel, that looks wicked, man! :afro:
-
cheers mate got it all done now had to cut the bolts off the rears just need to finish leveling it off, then trimming the plastic arch, and sticking it back on.

Done a few things at the weekend, new breather for the engine and a new heater matrix. Took about 6 hours all in cleaned alot as well when the dash was out, and its all nice and tight, no squeeks or rattles

Still needs a bit clean its not the best condition on the rim but it was cheap. Its a big improvement on the mk3 one feels a lot better to hold.

Paint is up next and im undecided what to do.
Keep it the same colour (twilight violet)
Or candy white with matt black roof and arch trims :undecided:
-
Nice location in the last shots, car looks great :afro:
-
That's looking perfect now fella. :afro:
-
Keep it twilight violet. It's one of the nicest factory mk3 colours.
Looks awesome with the arches back on :afro:
-
cheers guys :afro:
Jimp i really like the colour too but i think white would be nicer, with either matt black or dark grey roof and arches etc.
only thing putting me off a colour change is the amount of work involved like engine bay etc. :undecided:
-
looking fly my man, like it
-
First time ive spotted this thread car looks really nice mate love the wheels my friend has exactley the same rims but its very very low car looks awsome  pic below of my mates with the same rimage spaced out etc...

Cheers guys blu that's stunning and exactly how I want mine to sit but need to pull the arches a bit more on the rear as I get an odd scuff every now and again and some spacers on the front.
What size spacers does he have mate?
-
Nothing been done recently, been working a lot and taking my son karting a lot.
On the sad side of things i will be breaking the car next weekend as im fed up spending money on it. It currently needs bushes done and a few other bits mostly paint. To get it the way id like will cost too much to be worth it so its got to go.
On the up side i will be buying a new car, not decided yet but the options are golf 4 or bora 1.8t or v6 4mo. I had a bora 1.8t sport years ago and still have a soft spot for them, but im kinda swaying towards a v6 one this time.
I will start listing all thats for sale this week.

1.8t ftw, V6 is way too expensive to run these days.
-
Yeah but I don't do that many miles though and it's quicker out the box than the 1.8t as I don't think I can be bothered with remaps an such likes. Then theres the noise of the v6  a 1.8t will never match that.

The noise is great  but 200bhp is easy to get from a 1.8t but if you don't do many miles then VR ftw.
-
Finally upgraded too a V6 4motion 2 weeks ago, love it and the noise is superb but its drinking the fuel
Got it cheap and its a good spec Full heated leather, climate, cruise control, sunroof and a sports cat
Plans are 18" bbs ch and 40mm drop, then anni kit with the rear cut to fit r32 exhaust i think, havent fully decided on that yet but i will need to save the pennies for a bit first.
Gave it a clay, wax, and seal today, any opinions and ideas welcome.

i had a 4mo for nearly 2 years then sold it for the leon cupra r, miss the noise so much and the smoothness of it, wish id never sold it tbh
-
cheers guys yeah there really smooth mate only thing that annoys me is the time it take the revs to come down, if the box ever has to come out i will be lightening the flywheel.
-
Very clean looking car mate and a nice colour too

That would be a nice touch, I would guess it is dual mass so you would need to find a solid replacment.
-
yeah i have though about that too, surely there will be something that fits it, but i'll cross that bridge if it ever happens
