I've just got a mk3 gti 8v, it feels like it's too slow, what speeds should I be seeing through each gear? It's done 113000 and I'm not sure when it was serviced last.
TIA

And wait for the torrents of abuse.......
In reality the 8v isn't a quick car, it only produces 115bhp and weighs the same as a small country. 113k miles isn't a lot and a good service should see a little improvement in how it runs/feels.
In gear speeds is a bit of a useless way of gauging if it's running right, if you think there is a real problem get it scanned with a vagcom for fault codes
