Well i have finally brought a golf gti. For those who posted info on buying a golf over the last few days i have to say a big thank
you the information i got was invaluable. Well i travelled a round trip of 550 miles to get her but it was well worth it. The car is
a '92 8v oak green mk2 gti, fvwsh, 130,00 on the clock and in very very good original condition, the odd stone chip and light
scratch but nothing major. All for the pricley sum of £1150, he wanted 1500 but the car needed rear shock and steering gaiter
so i managed to get him down. The drive home was great, massive grin on my face all the way home,. keep an eye on this post as i
hope to get pictures on this weekend

8 valves rock! Shame about the colour.Suppose you could always get it painted Royal Blue!
Glad to hear you're pleased with it, sounds like you got a good un for a reasonable price.

Sorry Piggy cant paint it Royal blue, all the children on my street will laugh at me, because everybody knows that oak green is the
only colour to be seen in. Right I'm of down the barbers to see if they do a oak green hair dye

maybe a 16v next time!!!
-
Would i diss a fellow gti owner  . lol. I'm just an oak green kind of guy. i was undecided on a 8v or a 16v so i decided on
going on the merits of the car and not on the valve size. I wouldn't change it now though, i have got a camaro as well and my plan
is to save and sell that to buy a golf g60 rallye or a mustang next year and use the gti as my everyday car.
