Apparently the VW boffins are working on a GTi Spec diesel version...in other words it will look exactly like the Gti but have a diesel lump under the hood...typical...I buy a new one and they announce they will be introducing a faster, sportier and more stylish diesel........argh!!!!!  :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:  160+ BHP !!!

looks like I will be swapping for another VW in the not too distant future!!!!   :grin: :grin:

This has been on the cards right from the start, it was even mentioned on www.newgolfgti.co.uk . I wouldn't expect to see it until late 2006 or 2007 though, according to vw uk the new R32 will be with us before the diesel GTI.

That was just idle speculation.  It's deffo been confirmed as a 3.2 V6.

same 3.2V6 4mo but with 250 or 270 bhp me thinks!
