Title: mk4 golf 2.0 gti (2001)

Hi peeps im new lol!! and i just bought my car today, i must say im rather happy but i have spotted a fault?.... when im driving and i change gears the revs hang and dont drop for quite a while?? its fine on tickover and at junctions etc.... does anyone know how to help me?

Clean the throttlebody as a first point of call.

Then get it fault-code checked.
