what does pd engine mean and how do i no if i have 1?
i have a w reg 115 bhp mk4 golf

PD = Pump Duse = vw's term for high pressure diesel injection. If yours has a 6 speed gearbox then its a PD, i think around the W reg. time only the 110 tdi golfs werent PD.

Simple, if its a 6 speed then its a PD.  :grin:

PD has electric injectors, old one has steel pipes from the pump on the engine to the injectors.
