Title: Rear Shocker pops into boot
Post by: The Hoax on 23 March 2005, 22:42
I have a 1990 Oak Green 16v and there has been an annoying squeak coming from the rear. I thought it was the parcel shelve brackets, but all was revealed when the top of the shocker popped straight through into the cabin.

There is a washer of about an inch and a half diameter at the top of the rear strut on the under side. If you loosen the nuts and rubber bush in the boot you will see it. Mine had completeky stress fractured . I checked the other one and it was going the same way. Worth checking if you have a real irritating noise from the rear

Anyone else had this problem?
