Title: tick over problem

hi my mate as just fitted a clutch in a mk2 golf gti  G reg and now when car starts up from cold it will tick over but wont rev it will just die if you try to rev car. untill warm then ok any ides cheers

Sounds like he has forgotten to re-connect somthing, not sure what it could be though

What happens if you dip the clutch when you start her and try rev?
