Hi all
I have just recently brought a 1.8t on a 2000 plate and have been offered some audi tt front disc's at a bargain price.
Just wanted to know if any of you guys have them fitted, and if they will fit straight on with no probs, also will it make that much difference to the stopping power.
P.s Superb forum Great help.

Hi. Recently got some new brake discs myself and looked into this too. TT front discs are 312mm diameter, and 1.8Ts have 288mm fronts, so you'll need some modifications to allow these to fit.
Have a look at this thread: http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=18501.0

Yes m8 will do.
-
think you'll find you need the calipers too
-
Will let you know the out come.
Cheers guys

calipers are the same between 1.8T VWs and TTs the carriers are different. You need TT carriers and rotors and thats all.
-
Do you think it will improve it by much. In two minds wever to bother or not.

I like my TT brakes. I think its plenty of stopping power for the car and I have 300hp

Had them fitted today and have to say i am well chuffed with the results makes a big difference at higher speeds.
And like A1 Crazy said i did have to change the carriers as well which were included with the disc's all for £50 cant knock that.
