You can do, but don't expect anything other then sound from it..
-
There's a guy called bizimoto from America who does low capacity honda tuning...
He got 360 BHP from an NA 1.6 and 760 once it'd been tuned, for inspiration you could look at the work he did.
I'm sure you would be able to, but it'd cost a LOT of money to get any decent power.

isn't that a vtec and ain't the car designed to be sporty in the first place? What I'm saying is that is a good engine to start with and is easier to tune.
You will never get that from a 1.4 na mk3 golf. Even if you wanted 150bhp your looking at a lot of money and a turbo. So it would make much more sense to leave it alone, save your money and buy a abf

its had a service.................. when i first got the car it cost me £380........... took for an MOT...... thts were the fun began
i had new springs
spark plugs
oil filter
air filter
fuel filter oil change
radiator
sum welding
lambra sensor
4 new tyres
and a partrige in a pair tree lol
so its had a good seeing too but i cant afford to go to a gti or vr6 would cost me way to much on insureance.... im in the army... based in northern ieland so im lyk the perfect candidate to get screwed for insurance haha
-
Yeah, although it's not as good from the start, it's not impossible to get more power out of it.
You can tune anything to give you more power... but is it worth it?
-
i love her tho haha ive tried to look for the same shape and colour but no joy.....
-
oh and yes she is !!!!!
-
Pregnant?
-
i am talkin about the car here lol
-
Then do it if you have the money. A 1.4 with more horsepower per litre than a VR6 would get you some serious bragging rights.
-
Oh wait... I think they are anyway. :undecided:
-
haha it would lyk.... do you think it would be worth dropping in a vr6???/
-
im goin afgan in september and im cummin back with a fare wack lyk so im lukin to put sum serious money into a car but is it worth dropping a new engine or jst trying to find a vr6 thats pretty decent??
-
Unless your car has no rust, no dents, nothing wrong with paint then I would drop a vr6 into it. But I will also say vr6 golfs are so cheap now it would be stupid to do a conversion!

Sound advice, never worth fitting a VR lump

Stronger elastic bands might pull the engine apart, i wouldn't risk it myself.

wat do you mean by stronger bands???
-
Take off the cambelt and power steering belt and replace them with lightweight, high performance bands.
Should let you rev more freely.
-
hmmmmmm..... were would i purchase such bands???
-
Post office do the red sporty ones
-
haha did you know that sarcasm is the lowest form of whit haha

I got the polypro bands on ebay much cheaper than the posty...nice change in engine note too and longer life expectancy compared to standard cambelt...
