Hello clean freaks
Few questions that im not sure on.
When to use a sealer and what is it designed for exactly?
Are these the right steps: Polish, Glaze, seal then wax?
Does a sealer remove any wax layers?
Thanks

Seal then Wax yes... your order is correct aswell.. i use jetseal 109 great stuff.. it stops contaminents eating into your perfectly polished paintwork it actually bonds with the paintwork.. only needs doing every 6 months if you keep on top of waxing it..
-
thanks for that. Now for my other question...
paint cleanser:
When to use this and does it remove all protection?
-
What do you mean paint cleanser mate ? I see meguairs have a paint cleanser I just assumed it's like polish.. If so I would use every 6 month or if the paintwork starts to look tatty
-
Do you apply these by hand or can they be done by rotary?
-
sealer and wax is easy enough by hand..
-
I only use the da for scratches and swirls etc.
the rest by hand.
I was just looking into cleansers hence the question. So not really needed?
-
the meguiars paint cleaner will remove all grime you cant see with the natural eye, just because you cant see it, doesnt mean its not there
its best applied just after wash, however, if you use a wash & wax shampoo, it will strip the wax out, but considering youre reapplying wax anyway, it doesnt matter much

I'd use it after claying and before applying sealant/wax.
You also don't need to wax on top of sealant.
-
I find that a wax adds that little bit of pop that sealant lacks, maybe thats just me?

I said you don't need to, not that you shouldn't.
Personally, I find sealant to give more of a cold, shiny finish whilst wax gives a warm glow. If that makes any sense.
-
Totaly understand what you mean about the warm glow.
Tempted by this. Heard good reviews.
