Title: tick over problem

got a slight problem with the mk2.. when i roll up to traffic lights or a junction.. and change down,get into 1st gear and stop and the revs die down to about 500 and sometimes it cuts out.. does any1 no how to solve this? still new to all this golf stuff..

carnt find any leaks mate.. 1st thing i looked for after owning a number of fiesta turbos lol... isv.. will have to check that out..

Might like to check your idle switch as well - you will get some good info on testing with a search.
