Title: get my fluffing box off

im trying to remove my gearbox on an mk3 8v, ive done everything mr haynes has told me to and it wont come off because the driveshaft flange on the box is behind the flywheel????????? help please

rotate the box,   then you can lift it off at an angel

As danny says, rotate the box so the diff is pointing upwards.

im sick of it now.is there anyone near leicester that will lift it off for me for £40 its fully unbolted and i can move it, i just cant seem to get the angle right.
