Title: rclick and total closure
Post by: trog_nfs on 25 April 2011, 12:36
Hi chaps,

I've just spent the morning putting in the rclick central locking kit, and it all works apart from total closure? The wiring diagram they supplied suggested no additional wires other than those that connect to the grey and green wires in the door loom needed connecting to get it to work.
If I put the key in the door it works perfectly, but not if I use the fob.

Any ideas?

Cheers

I think it needs to be connected into the central locking loom on the car side of the door loom plug if that makes sense?

I've still not connected mine up for this reason lol

Not got one but sure it has to be setup somehow.

All the module does is give out a lock output for 20 seconds to close the windows and sunroof as thats all my cobra alarm did.

Is there any dip switch's that need setting as there was on the rclick unit i put on my mk2.

dip switches? You'll have to elaborate chap.

I'd found some stuff on net about the 20s pulse, but don't really know how this would work with the KE99-ULT kit, as there's nowt in the instructions about it.

The only part I could see was there is a switchable 1 or 2 pulse mode changed via a jumper, which I couldn't find inside the control module.

Trog,

My car came with remote clock and total closure.

I can drive the Golf to work one day this week (I work at RSPB Sandy) and you can have a look over it if that is any help?

Hopefully I will get this sorted, as I recieved a reply from Rclick about the issue:

"Hi,

the windows close when you press lock on the remote.

Thanks,"

Very helpful

If  I work it out, I'll let everyone know.

I managed to sort it in the end. Bit of wiring required, but easy enough.

I'll put a guide up in the maintainence bit later for everyone else.

Alrighty. I know this is an old post but wondering if you cloud elaborate on how you got the total closure to work in the end? I got an rclick system have wired most bits up except for the total closure and the posotive and negative door triggers.
With the total closure i have one green wire which i have no idea where to link up to. My system also came with a relay. any help would be great!

I am having the same problem with my rclick alarm. I got the AL699 kit and it has a wire for the total closure (dark green) how did you end up getting it to work. any help would be very much appreciated!
